The Cabbage Soup Diet is a new diet craze that is helping people everywhere kick start their diets to achieve real success. This plan is not a long term diet, it’s a program that will help you get a head start on losing weight that will get you motivated to lose more.

The Cabbage Soup Diet is a seven day weight loss plan that anyone can use to get started losing weight. This plan uses a combination of foods to help get your body into the weight loss mode. The special cabbage soup is the basis of this revolutionary plan and you can eat as much of it as you want every day! There is no going hungry on this plan, because you can always eat more as long as you stick to the foods outlined in the plan. Other than cabbage soup, you can eat fruit, vegetables, beef, milk, rice, and drink tons of teas and juice. It can be boring eating so few foods, but since this diet should only be followed for seven days, it’s easier than you think!

There are pros and cons to this diet. It can’t be used for more than a week at a time and eating the same thing every day can get a little boring—but the results are worth it! Almost everyone who has tried the Cabbage Soup Diet has been successful and used the diet as a bridge to a more long term diet. Of course, you should always consult your doctor before starting a new diet—but if you are the type of person who needs fast results to motivate you then this could be the plan for you!

I really enjoy the hit reality TV show "The Biggest Loser." Real people, losing weight. I have their workout DVDs and there are books also. The Biggest Loser Cookbook, Biggest Loser Calorie Counter, and Biggest Loser weight loss program. You can look at amazon.com or even look on ebay. They do sell lots, which means you can get all 3 books for one bid price. Also, you can check out Biggest loser website.

Although there are fat people everywhere (including Europe) the problem is not as overwhelming as it is here ,because of…
1. Too many fast food places! They are at every corner. In most European countries the fast food places are not as close, as convenient to get to and are treated more like a "TREAT" and not as everyday breakfast, lunch and dinner.
2. Walking! You have to drive if you want to go somewhere.
In many European countries it is possible to walk where you need to go. Down to the bakery real quick, across the street for some milk and so on. Even if you have to drive to the major part of town for your shopping and food needs, you can walk from store to store and spend your day on your feet.
3. Eating times! In europe, we eat light for dinner. Mostly they are cold dinners, like rye breads, cheeses, sliced veggies. If it's warm food, then we serve heated sausages or a soup.We don't eat heavy, greasy meals at night time——that is reserved for lunch. Although many people are forced to change that ,due to working hours and time restrictions in the afternoon.

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.

Good LUCK!

Hello there, sorry "squeakyanimal" (the answer on top), a calory in fact is the amount of energy needed to heat 1g of water in 1 degree Celsius…For example, to raise 1 gram of water from 29ºC to 30ºC…Yet, what we use as "calory" is in fact KiloCalory, which means Kilo (1000 in greek) times one calory, therefore what we refer to as "calory" accounts for 1000 calories actually. A healthy diet for women is one of about 1500 "calories" as we call them – see above.
